SRE Lead

Lorien's leading banking client is looking for an SRE Lead to join the existing team on a brand-new project.
The role is looking for someone with strong leadership skills, experienced with someone who understands SRE with proven track record of convert/evolving product support.
Day-to-day, you'll lead, drive, and embed the improvement of non-functional and operating characteristics, including availability, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, security, incident response and the capacity planning of our products and services.
Alongside this, you'll work with your colleagues and the feature team members to meet our defined service level objectives and improve systems and environments. You'll also contribute to new ideas and innovations to meet our short-term and long-term goals, while balancing and managing risks.
This role is based in London.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 1 days a week on site.
Key Skills
- Proven Track Record as an SRE Lead
- Experience of working within Financial Services.
- Experienced with, Java, Spring Boot, React.
- Experienced and understanding of Cloud .
- Experienced of working with CI/CD Tooling
- Proven Track record of convert/evolving the product support team.
- Defining error budgets that help to find the right balance between innovation, risk and reliability.
- Planning, managing, and delivering larger or complex projects that involve colleagues and teams across our business, while explaining customer value to business stakeholders
- Understanding of DevOps.
- Hands on experience with to lead/guide the team on SRE.
- Strong Stakeholder/Collaboration skills with multiple teams.
- Following a data-driven approach to identify, measure, and evaluate sources of toil and reducing toil at the source through continuous improvement and the automation of manual tasks.
