I am looking for a Finance Administrative Assistant to support my client's business operations in the distribution sector with accurate and timely administration. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a background in bookkeeping and administrative support.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Process supermarket orders and provide cover for holidays and other leave.
  • Manage administration related to supermarket orders, including weekly price confirmation, updating system price lists and producing promotion figures.
  • Post purchase invoices to correct folder.
  • Check and post haulage invoices after approval.
  • Handle sales invoicing, including emailing and producing electronic invoices.
  • Perform bookkeeping activities, credit control activities and update financial spreadsheets.
  • Provide cover for the Finance Manager, including bank reconciliations and setting up payment runs.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing year-end documents for accountants.
  • Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A good standard of English and Maths.
  • Previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience working with accountancy software.
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages including Excel
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and without supervision.
  • Experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to handle a busy and varied workload.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience handling confidential information in an appropriate and sensitive manner.
  • Effective communication skills in a variety of formats with a wide range of people.
  • A proactive approach to supporting colleagues and thinking beyond the task at hand.

This role offers hybrid working in a small, friendly open-plan office.
