PA - Care Sector

We are currently seeking a highly organised, empathetic Property Manager & PA to support our client in their own home.

In conjunction with a closely affiliated charity - who support their members and families to ensure the best possible quality of life, you will be responsible for general house / property management and PA duties.

You will be working closely with a regular team of carers and housekeepers

Responsibilities include:

Property / House Management:

  • Oversee the running of the property and stay on top of all maintenance requirements
  • To liaise with property management company on a regular basis and update them accordingly
  • Responsible for carrying out any required maintenance as and when necessary
  • Ensure the property is cleaned and domestic chores are being carried out

PA Duties:

  • To liaise with various third parties such as charity, carers, physios, nutritionists, therapists, doctors, dentists, etc
  • Manage calendar to include booking, appointments, socials activities, etc.
  • Arranging and assisting with attending appointments as necessary.
  • Ensuring all parties are kept up to date as well as regularly check in with the third parties to ensure the daily and weekly plans are being followed
  • Analyse and review what has happened in the week and understand what went well and not so well to help with future planning and improvements
  • Assist with training programmes and implementation of them
  • To deal with any incidents while helping to manage them to avoid escalation
  • Ensure the assessed needs of the person supported are met by developing their relationships and daily living skills support.
  • Promote independence and community presence.
  • Encourage and arrange social events - this can range from concerts, restaurants, holidays, sports, socials, shows, cooking, baking, beauty and hair etc.
  • Research opportunities relating to work experience
  • Help explain to third parties about routines and the importance of them to her general health and wellbeing.
  • Budget management - Monitor spending habits and spot any unusual activity
  • Assist with food shopping and ensure the budget is kept to and reviewed every couple of weekly
  • Help with meal planning and ensure this is communicated to the relevant third parties
  • Regularly communicate with our client and assess what is required and feedback to appropriate channels
  • Awareness of holidays to ensure plans are not disrupted or rearranged.

Working with our client you will be regularly liaising with third parties (doctors, carers, therapist, etc) as well as providing the family with regular updates, as such excellent communication skills are required.

You will adhere to all policies and procedures ensuring the charity's standards are maintained at all times and comply with relevant legislation including data protection, health and safety and Care Act.

The successful candidate will be experienced in a similar role. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, you will be a non-smoker, with a full clean driving licence. You will also be adaptable to meet the changing needs of the role.
