Responsibilities:

As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for managing a designated neighbourhood and ensuring that residents receive a high standard of service. Your main duties will include:

  • Building relationships with residents and providing excellent customer service
  • Resolving any issues or complaints raised by residents promptly and efficiently
  • Conducting property inspections and ensuring that properties are well-maintained
  • Collaborating with external stakeholders such as local authorities and contractors
  • Providing support and advice to residents regarding their tenancy agreement
  • Promoting community development initiatives and engaging residents in local activities
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures to improve service delivery
  • Conducting estate walkabouts to identify any repairs or maintenance requirements

Requirements:

_To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills: _

  • Previous experience as a Housing Officer or a similar role within the housing industry (social housing)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues promptly
  • Passionate about customer experience
  • Sound knowledge of current housing legislation and regulations (Housing Law and experience of Enforcement Action)
  • Proactive approach towards identifying and implementing improvements in service delivery
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
