They are an exceptionally well-regarded business, working with the globe's leading brands as well as innovative start-ups and their culture is at the heart of everything. Having worked with Treatt so closely in recent years, we have learnt how hard they work on employee engagement creating a culture where everyone is working to the same vison. They're an award-winning business who care.

We have worked with them to recruit several key positions, and this is another critical role which has been newly created to support the global S&OP programme. The Demand Planner will drive the implementation and evolution of demand planning, a key part of S&OP. Focusing on accuracy to support supply chain optimisation and maximise customer service levels.

Discussing the role with the Supply Chain Director, we can simplify (a full brief is available) the key areas of responsibility as follows:

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain that may impact the balance between supply and demand. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and resilience.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate market intelligence into demand planning processes to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement and operations teams to drive optimal inventory levels, enabling better planning and reduction of overall customer lead times
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports and KPI's pertaining to demand planning process
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new product, and product phase-out.

Treatt Plc have ambitious yet realistic growth plans with a genuine appetite to invest, so if you enjoy projects and working for a company who want to back operations to become world leading, this will definitely be for you. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in a similar role. You will be able to evidence S&OP project delivery from inception through to delivery. Ideally you will have worked in similar size international business with a complex product range.
