An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for our established client in Thatcham as a VAT Accountant. Please note, this is 9-month fixed term contract. Driving licence and own transport is essential due to the location of the client.
As the VAT Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Application of output VAT on different supplies and interpretation of VAT legislation
- Accounting processes for sales ledger and nominal ledger
- Month-end processes
- Journal processing
- Any other tasks as required by the finance department

The successful VAT Accountant will have the following related skills / experience:
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified (would consider qualified by experience)
- Strong VAT experience and understanding of VAT legislation
- Highly computer literate
- Experience of accounting functions and strong numeracy skills
