They are now seeking a talented and experienced Town Planner to join our dynamic team in Sutton.

Role Overview

As a Town Planner at, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our projects. You will be responsible for managing planning applications, liaising with local authorities, and ensuring that developments meet regulatory and community standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit planning applications, including coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Liaise with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to address planning concerns and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Advise the development team on planning policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of master plans and strategic planning documents.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in planning legislation and policy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in town planning, preferably within a property development or consultancy environment.
  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with a professional body such as the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
