Clinical Team Manager

We are seeking a Clinical Team Manager to manage and support a range of clinicians and therapeutic practitioners in their delivery of high quality, low intensity psychological interventions. The teams that this role will manage could include Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, Counsellors, CBT therapists, Play Therapists among others.

Responsibilities of a Clinical Team Manager:

  • To manage the day-to-day delivery of the brief intervention service for children and young people (typically aged 4-13) with newly emerging, mild-to-moderate and/or moderate mental health issues, allocating and monitoring caseloads.
  • To hold a small clinical caseload.
  • To manage, supervise and support therapeutic practitioners, ensuring professional clinical supervision is arranged, in accordance with Ormiston Families' policies and requirements of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and equivalent ethical frameworks.
  • To act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer to offer safeguarding advice and support to practitioners, recording and escalating as appropriate.
  • To support the Assistant Director (Mental Health) in the effective day-to-day management of the clinical team/s, including use of equipment and buildings.
  • To participate proactively in clinical, governance and operational meetings, ensuring that the service adheres to any decisions reached.
  • To carry out any additional appropriate duties as directed by the Assistant Director (Mental Health).

Skills and experience of a Clinical Team Manager:

  • Qualification in a relevant therapeutic modality and/or a therapy at Diploma level or higher accredited with an appropriate professional body
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience of managing an extensive and complex caseload.
  • Minimum 2-4 years working therapeutically within a CYP Mental Health Setting.
  • Experience of leading and supervising a team of multi-disciplinary workers.
