The Role:
As a QS/Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our clients team, utilizing your expertise to tender for small works projects and ensure the successful delivery of special projects, which can range up to 2 million in value. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough cost analysis and estimating for small works projects, including commercial maintenance works, refurbishments, alterations, and extension works.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver accurate estimates.
- Managing tender processes from inception to submission, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
- Overseeing project management duties, including cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
- Providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and schedules.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience as a QS/Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and regulations.
- Experience tendering for small works projects, with projects up to 2 million in value.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage projects across various sectors, including healthcare, residential, and large-scale heritage refurbishment.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
