Exciting opportunity for a Market Risk Business Analyst to join this global Energy company.
This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector. This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. These innovative solutions provide opportunities for exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.
The Candidate:
- Knowledge of gas, power and emissions trading
- Experience working with market risk and front office users
- Knowledge of market pricing and market data management
- Structured and analytical problem solver with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques and tools with significant experience in project deliverables including the ability to:
- Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including health, safety, security, usability, data, and supportability considerations
- Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options
- Design and capture target business processes and get those agreed with front office and market risk stakeholders
- Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle
- Experience working in Agile project Delivery

- Used to working in a flexible, independent manner on a mixture of small unstructured and large structured items
