Interim Assurance manager

  • 12-Month Contract Role.

  • Working with the Chief Audit Officer to develop an appropriate and proportionate Audit & Assurance Policy for the organisation that aligns to the Government's Corporate Reform Agenda and best practice requirements. This will need to be agreed at Audit Committee and signed off by Board.

  • Working with the Group Head of Internal Audit and Group Head of Risk to write, develop, implement and embed a Board Assurance Framework for which will need to be agreed at Audit Committee and signed off by Board.

  • Working with the Chief Audit Officer, Group Head of Risk and Group Head of Internal Audit to:

  • Ø Enhance Group-wide risk and assurance strategies;

  • Ø Develop governance, risk and assurance reporting;

  • Ø Understand and interpret the BEIS Corporate Governance requirements and forthcoming updates to UK legislation and articulate this into understandable SLT, ExCo and Audit Committee reporting packs;

  • Ø Take a lead role in actioning the BEIS requirements in key assurance areas as needed.

  • To take a lead role in the production of meaningful, insightful governance management reporting. Present to management, Advisory Boards, ExCo and Audit Committee in this regard.

  • Using knowledge and experience to support management in the development and documentation of a best-practice, legally compliant governance framework that supports the client in achieving its strategic aims and objectives, and takes into account forthcoming regulatory changes on the horizon.
