We are the Marine Conservation Society, a UK charity fighting for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean: one we can all enjoy.
Right now, our ocean is at a tipping point. We're polluting our waters and destroying precious habitats. We're harming the species that live there. This is reducing the ocean's ability to help fight the climate crisis. While a third of UK seas are protected on paper, less than 1% are well managed. We are determined to change this. Using people-powered action and with science on our side, we defend habitats and species, working with communities, businesses and governments to encourage ocean-based climate action solutions across the UK.
Natur Am Byth (NaB) is Wales' flagship green recovery project that aims to save species from extinction and reconnect people with nature. Bring together nine environmental charities, this is the country's largest natural heritage and outreach programme and will inspire people to take action and help a new wave of conservation ambassadors and practitioners to emerge.
We are now looking for a Projects Manager to join us on a part-time, job-share basis, working 21 hours per week, for a fixed-term contract until August 2027.

The Role
As a Projects Manager, you will support and deliver the Welsh Marine Treasures Engaged Communities projects in Llyn & Ynys Môn and Pembrokeshire.
Generating engagement and support, you will mobilise diverse communities, enabling them to benefit from, and care for, the wildlife that is just beyond the tideline.
You will co-ordinate activities that bring people together to protect the ocean and its wildlife, alongside celebrating the unique culture and beauty of Wales.
Additionally, you will:
- Strategically plan, manage and deliver Wales-based engaged community projects
- Build relationships and identify funding and collaborative projects
- Join the Marine Conservation Society & Wales-based community engagement projects to widen our reach and recognition across the country
About You
To be considered as a Projects Manager, you will need:
- Demonstrable experience of project management
- The ability to address groups in information or training sessions, both in-person and online
- The knowledge and ability to explain marine issues and concepts to a variety of audiences
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills
