We are looking for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join our clients in Basingstoke.

Our client is a specialist transport planning consultancy that offers high-quality transport and highways planning solutions, from initial development through to outline and detailed planning applications and feasibility design for every type of development.

As a consultancy, they are a SME with nearly 100 members of staff, and offices across the country. They offer a positive, supportive environment, and are looking for motivated engineers to join the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Project management of small and medium development planning projects.
  • Work with other consultancies in multi-discipline teams on development projects including residential, commercial, retail, and leisure developments.
  • Inspire, develop, and mentor less-experienced members of staff.
  • Prepare fee proposals for new projects and budget management.
  • Pursue business development opportunities and build client relationships Support in negotiations, and attend meetings with Highway Authorities.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in preparing and reviewing technical documents, including Transport Assessments and Travel Plans. In addition, you must have experience using Junctions 10 and Linseg software.
