The opportunity:
This role is part of a small data engineering team within our client's Data Services department, responsible for building their cloud-based data architecture. As part of a close-knit team, your work will create a significant impact in the design and delivery of innovative data solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- Understanding current system functionality and best practices
- Engaging with stakeholders, including external business partners, to assess needs
- Contributing to solution designs and developing the necessary systems to achieve business goals
- Operating in an agile, collaborative environment that encourages responsibility, continuous learning, and innovation
You'll also assist with the design and development of Azure Data services like Databricks, Delta Tables, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and more.
Our must-haves:
- Experience delivering cloud solutions using Azure Databricks
- Strong scripting skills in SQL and Python
- Knowledge of Azure (Storage Accounts, Azure Functions, etc.), Spark, and SQL Server
- Exposure to DevOps concepts and associated CI/CD tools
- A pragmatic mindset and a passion for self-development
