We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to oversee a children's residential facility. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. The successful candidate will be a driver, hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, and have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage a team of support workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Ensure the effective implementation of care plans and the delivery of tailored support to meet the individual needs of residents.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the welfare and development of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to care and support.
- Participate in the development and review of policies, procedures, and practices within the home.
- Provide on-call support and guidance to staff during shifts, including sleep-in duties as required.
- Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes for children and young people, ensuring that records are accurately maintained.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within children's residential care.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing children's residential care.
