New Business Director | Multi-Award-Winning Creative Agency | Healthcare & Pharma

The Client:

Harmonic are delighted to partner with this prestigious agency on their search for a New Business Director. You will join a team highly specialised SLT with a goal of expanding their client base within the Health and pharmaceutical division.

In the last 5 years this division has grown significantly and they are now competing with the most successful health & pharma agencies in the world. They have the team, the offering, the brand recognition and the investment to ensure this new business person has everything they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development (60-70% of role): Drive new business initiatives with a focus on major global pharma groups and emerging wellness opportunities. Leverage strong industry contacts and a deep understanding of holding companies to open doors and secure high-value opportunities.
  • Portfolio Management: While building the new business function, you will also manage an existing portfolio. As the new business pipeline grows, your time will shift more towards business development.
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Head of Strategy, Head of Medical, and Operations to align new business goals with the agency's broader objectives. Work within a cross-functional team to deliver impactful brand-building and strategic communications across the health and wellness sector.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with top pharma brands. Engage with C-suite executives (CMOs, Heads of Procurement) and confidently present strategic benefits of the agency's services.
  • Team Collaboration: Be part of a growing team of over 70 people, contributing to the agency's impressive growth trajectory. Work alongside senior leaders in a collaborative environment focused on innovation and creativity in healthcare marketing.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Global Pharma Experience: Well-connected in the global pharma space, with a deep understanding of the industry's complexities, including therapy areas, product pipelines, and medical cycles.
  • Proven Business Growth: Experience leading and growing client accounts, ideally with budgets of £3 million+. Capable of managing large-scale projects for global pharma brands.
  • Strategic Mindset:** Strong storyteller with the ability to translate complex medical and scientific concepts into compelling brand narratives. Experienced in brand building, virtual and live events, and professional congress experiences.
  • Collaborative Leader:** A natural connector who thrives in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial culture. Able to utilise resources effectively and deliver results across multiple departments.

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000
