Alexander Daniels are proud to be working with an established manufacturer outside of Cannock, to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a permanent and full-time basis. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced candidate who is looking for a role in which they can take ownership for a process and make it their own.
Daily tasks will include:
- Maintaining the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
- Preparing weekly payment runs.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Credit Control - chasing debtors.
- Preparing and posting journals.
- Manage holiday requests.
- Additional ad hoc tasks.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years experience in similar role.
- Strong communication skills and good telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise and plan workload.
- Good Excel and Analytical skills.
- A can-do positive approach to work with a willingness to learn.
The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified (or studying towards) or will have experience in a similar role deally within the manufacturing industry, although this is not essential. You must be an excellent communicator with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and be a team player. You will have the support of a small and friendly finance team and benefit from a 12 o'clock finish on Friday, 25 days holiday (plus bank holiday), Christmas shutdown, and other benefits such as critical illness plans and death in service.
This is an on-site role offering free parking, and the hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5:15pm and Friday 8am to 12pm.
