Quality Assurance Analyst

  • Job Type: Fixed Term contract - 22 months
  • Location: Wokingham, UK. 3 days onsite 2 days remote.

A new exciting Quality Assurance Analyst fixed term contract role has become available to join my clients leading Strategy, Planning and Innovation Department. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and reliability of their software solutions.

This position involves close collaboration with the IT Software Development department and the UK Product team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and document comprehensive test plans for software solutions.
  • Author and execute test cases using Azure DevOps or similar test execution applications.
  • Maintain regression test suites and perform end-to-end testing prior to every release.
  • Conduct testing of existing and new software solutions, applying best judgement and adhering to test plans.
  • Collaborate with the IT Software Development department to produce automated tests.
  • Work with the Product team to identify suitable test data for test plans.
  • Support the Product team and other business units during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of software solutions.
  • Attend software development and other internal meetings to provide QA insights.
  • Stay current with technologies and engage in personal development aligned with business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business or Information Technology, or equivalent experience in a software testing role.
  • Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Manual/QA software testing and a keen interest in quality improvement techniques.
  • 2-3 minimum experience working within a manual software/QA testing environment
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, HTTP).
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
  • Excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding of Information Security practices and GDPR compliance.
