Property Maintenance Coordinator

We are searching for a highly organised and proactive Property Maintenance Coordinator with a love for all things property to join an independent letting agency, based in Ilkley.

  • £25,000 - £30,000 pa, dependent on experience
  • Office Based - Ilkley
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Saturday Rota (1 in 4)

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all property maintenance for our client's portfolio of rental properties. You will work closely with the Directors & Lettings Manager to ensure continuous upkeep of all properties under the portfolio whilst supporting other areas of the business on an ad-hoc basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary contact for all maintenance enquiries via telephone, email and app.
  • Liaising between tenants, contractors and landlords to organise and resolve any outstanding maintenance issues.
  • Updating energy suppliers with move-in and move-out meter readings.
  • Organising and carrying out property inspections andfollowing up on any remedial works.
  • Conducting check-in and check-out appointments with tenants, negotiating the security deposit and works as required.
  • Managing the safety certificate schedule for all properties held on our client's portfolio and coordinating all safety certificate appointments.
  • Dealing with tenancy renewals and rent reviews.
  • Uploading relevant notes, certificates and invoices into the CRM system to ensure accurate records are kept.
  • Contacting viewing enquiries, arranging appointments and carrying out viewings with prospective tenants.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years' experience in a property maintenance role is essential.
  • Sound property knowledge with an ability to use your initiative when dealing with maintenance issues.
  • Highly organised with an ability to work in a fast-paced and process-driven environment.
  • A meticulous individual with high levels of attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can quickly and easily build rapport, manage expectations, and maintain ongoing client relationships.
  • IT literate including CRM & Microsoft packages, preferably experience on Fixflo.
  • Hold a clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Are a UK resident and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
