Professio, a premier recruitment agency, is partnering with a leading provider of security-based clinical services to expand their clinical team.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking dedicated Emergency Care Assistants (ECA) to join their expanding team. As an ECA, you will undertake medical duties to ensure the health and wellbeing of individuals at their treatment unit, adhering to JRCALC guidelines and working within the scope of your registration. This role requires maintaining clinical objectivity, always prioritizing the patient's wellbeing.

Pay Rate: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
Shifts: 12-hour shifts - Days (7am to 7pm) & Nights (7pm to 7am)
Accommodation: Provided while on shift
Employment Type: Self-Employed Contractor

Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to assigned tasks via our online system.
Maintain effective communication and relationships with the Operations team and Clinical Managers.
Ensure all medical kits and drugs are up-to-date and satisfactory before starting duties, with appropriate documentation for used items.
Measure and record baseline observations at initial contact and appropriate intervals.
Address clinical needs as necessary.
Produce accurate medical notes for ongoing care and clinical audit purposes.
Ensure the medical welfare of colleagues in the security team.
Submit all administrative paperwork and invoices in line with company procedures.
Respond to medical emergencies on-site and brief the Team Leader/HCP in case of patient deterioration.

Qualifications:

FREC 3 / First Aid at Work certificate (or equivalent).
Continuous Professional Development and BLS/ILS competencies.
Proof of COVID-19 and childhood vaccination status.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a prehospital or emergency department setting.
Basic IT skills.
Fluency in English; additional languages are desirable.
Full driving licence and reliable transport.
Knowledge of JESIP is desirable.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently as needed.
Recognize and address signs of patient deterioration.
Clear and concise communication skills, especially with patients.
Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
Quick and appropriate decision-making skills.
Remain calm and professional in disruptive or aggressive situations.

Additional Information:

Successful candidates will require consent for a DBS check and Home Office security clearance, which may take up to 12 weeks.
