As an experienced candidate within the Events/hospitality sector you will be required to support the Meeting, Events & Reservations Sales Manager to develop and drive the Meetings & Events & Room Reservation revenues, together with maximising guest experiences within the hotel. Assisting to manage the Meetings & Events Sales team & Reservation Team, promoting a highly motivational, target driven culture within the department. Working closely with the Director of Sales through driving all Meeting & Event and bedroom opportunity from both existing local clients and new organisations.
Event Sales:
- Actively take enquiries and secure residential and day delegate business, together with other events into the Hotel.
- To have a good knowledge of all Hotel facilities, tariffs and rates in order they are sold to their best advantage. This would include sending proposals, chasing enquiries and obtaining signed contracts within a timely manor.
- To conduct key sales show rounds (site visits) with maximum effectiveness.
- Support management ensuring the office environment and Team are both highly motivated for sales and target driven.
- Key focus on M & E conversion. Ensure all enquiries and correspondence for the M & E Team are dealt with efficiently as per hotel's procedures. All enquiries requested are processed and responded to within the hotel's set timeframe
- Contacting key clients/enquiries personally to increase the conversion of business.
- Attend and report in the weekly Sales Strategy meetings in the absence of management,
- Support ensuring reports for sales strategy meeting are prepared.
- Support management with preparing monthly reports for BRM pack as requested by Commercial Director.
- To develop a good knowledge of the local area, local competitors and regular clientele to enhance services provided to the guests.
- To create the right customer care attitude towards all clients whilst maximising client satisfaction.
- To support regular competitor analysis assessing rates, promotions and refurbishments.
- Support the ME&RSM to grow and maintain the Meetings & Events training & development strategy.
- Support the ME&RSM ensuring the hotel strategies are rolled out to, and followed by, the M & E Team to maximise occupancy and rooms profitability for accommodation, meetings & events.
- Support the ME&RSM ensuring all team members are cross trained in both Event & Reservation call handling to maximise customer satisfaction.
- To ensure all data is entered correctly for M & E enquiries, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
- To ensure relevant deposits are received and all event revenues are charged onto the correct accounts and all accounts are checked out accordingly.
- To identify and pass on leads / information on new Companies to the Sales Manager/ Director of Sales.
- To assist with Familiarisation Tours / Visits / Functions, hosting tables when appropriate.
