Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) has an exciting opportunity available for a IT Applications Manager to join our team in Maidstone. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,076 – £52,397 per annum (pay award pending).

About the role:

As a IT Applications Manager, you will be a valued member of a small team with the responsibility of maintaining and supporting our Finance, HR/Payroll and Learning Management System applications.

If you are driven to help other people get the most from technology and have experience with System administration, Product Management or IT Application Support you could be the person we are looking for.

As our IT Applications Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • You will be responsible for managing a suite of related systems, applications, and portals.
  • Proactively monitor product roadmaps, identifying functionality that would benefit the Service and recommend timeframes for upgrading.
  • Work as part of an experienced and friendly IT department you will help our support and operational staff to get the most from our IT systems and applications.
  • Acquire and maintain Application expertise across a related portfolio of Platforms, Applications and Portals.

What we're looking for in our IT Applications Manager:

  • Drive to help other people get the most from technology.
  • A background in managing business applications (such as iTrent, Business World and Moodle).
  • Enjoy hard work and have a passion for developing products that meet the needs of end users.
  • Experience of working directly with customers and stakeholders to improve services.
