We are a leading food manufacturer based in Portsmouth looking for an adaptable and flexible Warehouse Operative to join our team.
The role involves working as part of the warehouse team picking and storing raw ingredients for production. A keen eye for detail is essential for checking batch codes, use by dates and temperature checks. The ideal candidate must hold a full driving licence as some transferring of stock between sites will be required in the company vehicle. A Forklift truck licence is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
Tasks for the role involve (but are not limited to):
- Removing ingredients from secondary packaging
- Labelling stock for traceability
- Palletising finished goods
- Sorting waste material for recycling and disposing of waste
- Completing daily paperwork
- Issuing raw materials to production
- Recieving and despatching stock
- Carrying out stock checks
- Transporting materials between sites
The hours of work are currently Monday - Friday 09:00-17:45
