Posted by Michael Page Property & Construction .

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Design Manager to join a privately owned residential main contractor to take on a new scheme of cut & carve, demolition, and new build elements including RC frame and CLT structures. This scheme is in NW London, commutable on the Northern or Bakerloo lines.

Client Details

Our client is a privately owned residential main contractor which specialises in delivering new build, refurb, and planned works to Local Authority and HA clients. They are family owned and operate with a flat structure meaning that as a Design Manager you will have outright responsibility to run 1-2 schemes and will have exposure to senior management. The working hours are 8am-5pm with at least 3 days per week required on site, some occasional work from home is possible.

Description

You will take the lead for a residential scheme of 5 blocks consisting of 2 mid-rise RC blocks, cut & carve, and one CLT structure.

Your key responsibilities initially will be to drive the design programme for the RC structures and then to oversee the subsequent delivery, as well as overseeing the latter stages of close out and handover of the other 3 blocks.

This scheme is in NW London, commutable on the Northern or Bakerloo lines.

Following the completion of this scheme you will have the opportunity to lead a new scheme from preconstruction to handover; typical schemes are £10m-£30m and blend cut & carve/heavy refurbishment and new build.
