Reed Food and FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a well-regarded business, for a Technical Account Manager, on a 12 Month FTC, to cover a period of maternity.

Technical Account Manager

£35,000 to £40,000 per annum

Location: Dungannon, Northern Ireland - Site based, Monday to Friday

Experience required:

  • 2 years of experience working in a related customer facing or site based technical role in the food industry / food manufacturing
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the food supply chain / quality assurance and UK retailer industry essential with preference given to candidates with previous experience in dealing with major UK supermarkets
  • Experience with HACCP, Allergen Management systems and food labelling a definite advantage
  • Excellent communication skills together with a can do attitude;
  • Willingness to travel to customer meetings together with other sites and Retail stores throughout UK and Ireland;
  • Strong interpersonal skills as the role will involve interfacing with major retailers and other internal and external customers;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key technical contact between Customer Technical and internal departments, managing information relating to food safety, quality and legality together with customer brand standards, technical business plans and associated projects etc.
  • Manage all relevant raw material, product specifications and Quality Attribute Sheets for related products;
  • Working as part of a customer facing team with commercial and NPD contacts with a view to customer account development;
  • Liaison between all relevant departments within the business to ensure that customer requirements are communicated and being adhered to;
  • Liaise with NPD to assist with product presentations to customer / product development approval, production handovers and product launches;
  • Handle customer queries in a timely manner, liaising with the various departments in order to discover the outcome
