Zen Educate are currently partnered with an Ofsted rated 'Good' primary school in Birkenhead (CH41), who are looking for a bright and bubbly Teaching Assistant to join their excellent team, supporting children within a Year 2 classroom. The role is set to start in November 2024.
This is a full-time position, hours 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday. Hourly rate is £13.59 - 14.54
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience working with children, in either a personal or professional setting
- Experience or knowledge of Special Educational Needs such as Autism, ADHD etc.
- Possess an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies
- Ability to work well within a team
- Good communication skills
The role:
- Supporting pupils with their learning, taking small groups of children out for Literacy & Numeracy interventions
- Listening to the children read, updating their reading diaries
- Liaising with parents to update on pupil progress
- Creating tailored interventions to support pupils with SEN
- Formulate positive working relationships with pupils and other educators within the school
- Fostering a love of learning in ALL children
- Utilise resources both inside and outside the classroom to support children's learning
- Upholding the school ethos and adhering to Safeguarding procedures and policies at all times
