We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare and possess a team-player attitude with excellent social skills. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care and education to young children in a nurturing environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work within a rota pattern, completing 8.5-hour shifts between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break.
- Engage with children in a variety of activities that support their learning and development.
- Assist with the planning and preparation of creative and educational activities.
- Monitor children's progress and contribute to their individual learning plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the nursery setting.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's day and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have a Level 2 or 3 in childcare.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Ability to work well within a team and build relationships with colleagues.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A caring and nurturing approach to childcare.
- Commitment to professional development and willingness to engage in further training.
