Job Title: Finance Manager

**Role Overview
As a Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations for a growing, successful business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the finance function. This role involves managing monthly accounts, budgeting, payroll, and tax compliance, along with process improvement and team support.
**Key Responsibilities

Accounting Management: Oversee the full accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Monthly Accounts: Prepare and produce monthly management accounts.

Financial Management:

Manage cash flow, prepayments, and accruals.

Create and manage annual budgets.

Payroll & Compliance: Process payroll and manage the pension scheme.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Handle all tax-related and compliance matters.

Business Insurance: Maintain and oversee business insurance policies.

Audit Process: Coordinate and manage the annual audit with external auditors.

Team Leadership: Line-manage and support a Finance Assistant, including covering their duties when necessary.

Process Improvement: Proactively improve processes, ensuring ISO standards are met.

Sales Rebate Process: Support accounting for sales rebates, understanding commercial terms.
**Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, ideally within an SME.
Required Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
Key Competencies:
- Communication: Ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong business acumen and a proactive, analytical mindset.
- Self-Motivation: Takes initiative and responsibility for the finance function's efficiency.
- Problem-Solving: Naturally analytical with a keen eye for detail.
- Hands-On Approach: Willing to manage detailed accounting entries, reconciliations, and routine banking as needed to support the team.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and general IT; able to adapt to new systems.
- Experience with Sage accounting software is preferred.
