They would be setting complex jobs, working with tight tolerances to supply components across a wide range of different industries. They would have the opportunity set and operate different machines throughout the workshop from 3 axis mills to 5 axis machinery.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Heidenhain, Siemens & /or Fanuc controls - 3 & 4 axis. 5 axis preferred but not essential as training can be given.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and working with tight tolerances.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- CAD/CAM capabilities are desirable.
- ISO 9001-2015 experience would be beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting and operating vertical CNC machining centres, from 3 axis to 5-axis machines.
- Completing small to medium batch work plus prototypes.
- Work collaboratively as a team to improve existing processes and quality control.
- Working with a variety of materials from plastics, aluminium and stainless steels.
- Producing components to tight tolerances.
- Maintain production records to comply with ISO 9001:2015 and company procedure.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative.
Working Hours:
- 40 Hours per week
- 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Thursday
- 07:30 - 13:30 Friday
- Additional overtime available
- 23 days holidays per year
