Robertson Bell are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Procurement Lead to join an exciting public sector organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing diverse operational procurements, lead procurement projects from start to finish, engaging with business leads and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

In this Procurement Lead role, you will:

  • Develop and sustain relationships with key department leads to identify contracting needs and implement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure all tender and competition processes adhere to local and nationwide legislation and generate management information to identify future procurement opportunities.
  • Draft and prepare contract documentation for high-value, complex portfolios of goods and services, guaranteeing clear specifications, effective performance, and optimal value through rigorous contract management.
  • Lead project groups through the tender process, establishing strong specifications, clear evaluation methods, and effective contract management structures to ensure best value is achieved.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be Qualified by Experience (QBE) or working towards CIPS qualification.
  • Ideally, have experience in a similar role within the public sector.
  • Have proven experience in running procurement processes from end to end.
  • Be skilled in drafting documents, consulting with suppliers, and running stakeholder meetings.
  • Have excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
