Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Credit Controller to join their dynamic team. Based in the charming town of Market Drayton, this position offers a competitive salary of £26,000. What you'll do:

As a Credit Controller, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the accurate and timely calculation and payment of Payroll. You will be involved in processing new employees, leavers, pay changes in accordance with contractual compliance and statutory regulations. Your role will also involve undertaking audit tasks such as checking exception reports, analysing payroll data and making necessary corrections. You will have the opportunity to liaise with Managers and Employees where appropriate, responding to employee queries within agreed SLA timescales. Additionally, you will assist the Payroll Manager in the timely processing of Bacs payments.

  • Ensure accurate and timely calculation and payment of Payroll
  • Process new employees, leavers, pay changes in line with contractual compliance and statutory regulations
  • Undertake audit tasks including checking exception reports, analysing and making corrections to payroll data as required
  • Liaise with Managers and Employees where appropriate
  • Respond to employee queries in line with agreed SLA timescales
  • Work on projects and change implementation as required
  • Assist the Payroll Manager in the timely processing of Bacs payments

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Credit Controller position will bring a solid understanding of statutory and contractual regulations. You should have knowledge of Payroll, HR and T&A systems along with good analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is essential for this role. Excellent customer service skills are also crucial as you will be dealing with employee queries. While it's desirable for candidates to be qualified to level 3 in Payroll, what's most important is your commitment to accuracy and your ability to work well under pressure.
