Children Social Worker - Assessment Team
Location: North East
We are currently expanding our Assessment Team and seeking passionate and dedicated Children Social Workers to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Analysis:

Conduct thorough assessments of children and their families to determine needs and risks.

Analyse information gathered from various sources to inform decision-making and intervention plans.
- Child Protection:
-
Work within a statutory framework to assess and manage risks to children.

Develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Collaboration and Communication:
-
Work closely with colleagues, partner agencies, and external stakeholders.

Communicate effectively with children, families, and professionals, both in writing and verbally.
- Court Proceedings:
-
Prepare clear and concise court reports as required.

Provide evidence and attend court hearings as a professional witness when necessary.
- Support and Intervention:
-
Provide direct support and intervention to children and families as part of the assessment process.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver effective services and support plans.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
- Previous experience in a children social work role, particularly in assessments.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
