Ashley Kate are proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-respected manufacturing business in Ripley on a HR Advisor role. Due growth and investment now is an exciting time to join the business as they continue with their people focused journey.

Reporting to the HR Director you will be joining a well-established HR team and play a key part in the commercial and cultural journey the business is on. Based on site in Ripley you will also be required to travel to other sites in the Derbyshire area. This role is paying £30k - £35k dependant on experience.

It is essential you will be an experienced operational HR Advisor who will support the HR function in providing practical, solution focused advice on general HR and People matter with a strong background in supporting managers with Employee Relations and case work. You will be the go-to person for managers to provide expert advice and support in relation to HR policies and procedures and ensuring they are implemented. You will be involved in upskilling management capability and coaching managers in relation to any employee relations cases and people development. You will need to be ambitious and comfortable with rolling you sleeves up and having the initiative to provide pragmatic solutions to the business.

Alongside this you will work closely with the Operations Team on performance management and development planning processes. Improvement of HR systems and processes and identifying HR policy development changes needed to ensure excellent HR service and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of HR regulatory requirements, guidance, and developments

HR Advisor - About you.

  • A proven background in operating in a generalist HR role and be able to provide support and guidance to managers around Employee relations, policies, and processes is key in this position.
  • A proven background working in Manufacturing, FMCG, Engineering or a similar busy, blue collar environment is key.
  • A demonstrable background in working on a high employee relations case load is essential and you must be able to support with complex cases.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law is essential.
  • Be a great customer relationship builder and understand the importance of stakeholder communications.
  • Support life management activities including maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and all types of flexible working requests.
  • Experience of, and interest in, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy implementation.
  • Experience of using applicant tracking systems and advising managers on recruitment processes.
  • Experience of running recruitment campaigns advising managers on best practice and supporting where necessary.
  • Ideally you will be CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent although not essential.
