Our client are a leading manufacturer of soda crystals and maintain an important share of the domestic cleaning market, and their derivatives - Sodium Sesquicarbonate and Sodium Carbonate Monohydrate - are growing in volume as new markets are uncovered for these speciality products.
With that in mind we are looking for a number of process operators to join their team.
As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for working in the soda powder department.
Working hours scheduled from 06:00am - 2pm Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and equipment in the production process
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency
- Perform heavy lifting tasks in the soda powder department
- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear mandatory safety shoes and hi-vis clothing
- Monitor and control production processes to maximize efficiency
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain product standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a rotating shift schedule
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to wear safety shoes and hi-vis clothing
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Basic knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance is an advantage
- Reliable and punctual
