Durham Council are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker to join our Families First Team in Stanley. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering support to families in the area, working with children, young people, and their parents or carers to promote their well-being and improve their life circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing the needs and risks of children, young people, and their families
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and multi-agency partners
- Providing support, guidance, and interventions to address safeguarding concerns and promote positive outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
- Participating in team meetings, training, and case conferences to ensure the best possible service delivery
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and families
