We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a school based in Northfield. Starting in September 2024, you will be able to jump straight into a teaching role on a full-time basis. You will be required to work Monday through to Friday, supporting and teaching across KS1 and KS2. Roles and responsibilities:
- Plan and teach lessons and sequences of lessons to the classes you are assigned to teach within the context of the school's curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of the pupils.
- Set high expectations that motivate, inspire and challenge pupils.
- Establish a safe, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
- Have high expectations for behaviour and promote good behaviour management.
- Maintain good relationships with staff and pupils and liaise with colleagues, senior leaders and parents.
- Participate in any relevant meetings/professional development opportunities at the school.
Requirements (you must have):
- A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- An enhanced DBS or the intention to obtain one.
- Good subject knowledge and strong understanding of the Key Stage curriculum.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written and active listening skills.
- Relevant experience in teaching or in an education-based setting.
