We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Bexley. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and experience in supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism and ADHD. This role is crucial in assisting students in their academic development and contributing to the success of academic clubs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging academic activities and clubs, tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback and reports to teachers and parents as required.
  • Uphold the safety and well-being of all students, acting as a trusted adult and role model.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven academic qualifications and experience in supporting students with special educational needs, such as Autism and ADHD.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or possession of an updated DBS certificate.
  • Completion of safeguarding training is essential.
  • Ability to complete all necessary pre-employment checks prior to the start date.
