Start date: January 2025 or sooner if possible

Hours: 38.5 hours

Salary: £38,000-£42,000 p.a. dependent on experience

Sandwell Academy is one of the top performing schools in the region. Every year over a thousand students apply to join the Academy in Year 7, while year on year our sixth form is heavily oversubscribed. The Role

Careers perform a pivotal role in supporting our students to secure the best destinations possible, and to become informed about and equipped for the world of work. We require a dynamic and creative Director of Careers to thrive in this role.

The following knowledge and attributes are required:

  • The ability to build rapport with colleagues and young people
  • An in-depth knowledge of the UCAS process
  • Awareness of the processes and relevant legislation around work experience
  • Some experience of line management
  • Ability to build networks and engage with stakeholders and external colleagues to secure opportunities for young people
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
