A thriving SME business is looking to appoint a Commercial Analyst into a newly created position created on the back of its growth momentum. Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will be leading the implementation of Power BI and building out the dashboard reporting for 2 legal entities.

Commercial Analyst - About The Role

This position presents a significant opportunity to lead the implementation of Power BI within this organisation, followed by the development of dashboard reporting for budget holders, the senior leadership team, and relevant stakeholders.

You will be engaged in a consumer-focused business, conducting analyses on its rapid growth, assessing campaign success, demographic profiles, and audience behaviour patterns. Your responsibilities will include daily analysis of sales conversions, customer conversion rates, and attrition rates.

The potential of this role is considerable, and the successful candidate will possess a natural curiosity and strong business acumen. A solid understanding of consumer-based business models is essential, as you will collaborate with budget holders to determine their reporting needs and how to fulfil them effectively. You will also work closely with the Finance Director on the annual budgeting process alongside department heads. The reporting frameworks you design will empower the business to monitor its growth trajectory and profitability.

This organisation has a clearly defined growth strategy developed by the Finance Director, presenting exciting opportunities for the right individual.

The successful Commercial Analyst will have/be:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' post qualified experience
  • Power BI - ideally implementation and set up experience, but dashboard reporting will suffice
  • Advanced Excel
  • Experience of facilitating a business partnering position
  • Experience of working and analysing large datasets
