Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java) WFH / Surbiton to £47k
Are you a "mathematically minded" Java Developer looking for an opportunity like to progress your career working on complex and interesting systems?
You could be joining a global geoscience technology company within oil and gas exploration.
As a Java Developer you'll join a supportive Agile team responsible for the company's subsurface discovery desktop application which is used to determine sites across the globe. You'll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle working on new features and enhancements as well as maintaining existing applications.
Location / WFH:
You'll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with the team in Surbiton, once a week.
About you:
- You have commercial Java development experience
- You're highly numerate with a good understanding of mathematics and data centric systems
- You're familiar with Agile ways of working such as Scrum or Kanban
- You a good understanding of Unit testing
- You're collaborative and enjoy problem solving
- You are degree educated in Mathematics, Scientific or Computing discipline
- C# coding skills would also be great, happy to learn
