OA are working with an established charity within the Education sector, searching for a Head of Learning & Development to play a key part in designing & delivering their training portfolio.

Head of Learning & Development – Job Details:

  • Full time - 35 Hours per week
  • £55,000 - £65,000
  • 30 days annual leave, enhanced pension scheme
  • Remote, with some travel within the UK
  • Training & development opportunities
  • Permanent

Head of Learning & Development – Main Duties:

  • Advise and report on training and professional development programs
  • Develop resources to support training and professional development
  • Design, implement, and deliver annual seminar, webinar program, and annual conference
  • Collaborate with other organizations for joint events
  • Coordinate with the team on venue selection and booking
  • Enhance engagement using technology for remote training opportunities
  • Develop new training materials for e-learning courses, on-site programs, website content, and seminars/webinars
  • Present at seminars, webinars, regional meetings, and training sessions
  • Collaborate on website development and improving communication with members
  • Promote and participate in governance reviews and consultancy service
  • Research and draft content for newsletters and the website
  • Support the Chief Executive in resolving governance issues
  • Attend meetings as needed

Head of Learning & Development – Skills & Experience

  • Degree-level education
  • Professional qualification or relevant experience in training/education development
  • Management experience in a school setting or related commercial organization
  • Understanding of school or commercial governance
  • Excellent communication skills for presentations and diverse writing/speaking duties
  • Ability to inspire and motivate through effective influencing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage deadlines in a busy environment
  • Discreet, enthusiastic, and able to work independently and in a team
  • Collaborative approach to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to handle a demanding workload with conflicting demands
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
