Our client is a UK leading distributor in their industry, and they are recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their warehouse team.
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will provide support to the Ops & Logistics Manager and the wider warehouse management team. You will ensure that all company policies and procedures to achieve the highest possible standards.
We are looking for someone who has got experience managing a warehouse team. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and have the opportunity to progress and develop their career.
Shift - 6am - 2pm, Mon - Fri
Key responsibilities for a Warehouse Ops Team Leader:
- Lead the warehouse area in a fast-paced environment, dealing with all warehouse related departmental issues and escalations
- Develop and execute plans to meet and improve overall output & productivity targets for the team
- Support the development of warehouse staff
- You will observe the overall tidiness and safety of the facility daily and have any issues addressed at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure all daily warehouse checks are carried out, completed and documented
- Support the warehouse team on the shop floor where necessary
Essential Skills for a Warehouse Ops Team Leader:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A good understanding on Lean methodology and processes
- Driven and assertive
- Strong man management and coaching skills
- A can-do attitude
