Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are proud to be recruiting for Site Engineers and also for Site Agents for a national civil engineering, building, and surfacing contractor for their Southern England Division. In particular ongoing work will be Eastleigh Borough Council works.

The Site Engineer will possess a good level of experience in Civils Infrastructure is required such as deep drainage, utilities, and S278 works.
About the role...
- Undertake surveying and setting out duties of sections of roads
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Check drawings and quantities and schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department.
- Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.
- Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary.
- Supervise and monitor the site labour force and monitor the work of any sub-contractors.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise during the construction process.
About you...
- Be passionate and have a drive about completing allocated sections.
- Candidates will have a strong background in setting out, surveying, civil works, preparation of technical specifications and reports and in the planning, supervision and interpretation of construction.
- Candidates should have a recognised relevant qualification.
- Ability to read drawings, preferably competent with Auto CAD software.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements in the UK
- Must hold a valid CSCS Card
- Fully interact and liaise with other members of the construction site team and be a team player.
- Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility.
