Role: AIX Infrastructure Engineer
Length: Initial 10-month contract
Location: Hursley - 5 days per week
Pay Rate: £400 - £500 per day
Clearance: Active SC Clearance
One of my public sector clients are currently looking for a AIX Infrastructure Engineer. They are looking for a AIX Infrastructure Engineer to join them on-site with travel to site in Hursley 5 days per week. This engagement will run on for an initial 10 month contract - with a view to extend.
They are interested in AIX Infrastructure Engineer with experience of working in an Agile environment amongst multi-disciplinary teams. Past experience of working within the public sector would be ideal.
Role Description:
- Experience with IBM AIX and IBM Power Systems
- Experience with VIOS and/or HMC is preferable but not necessary
- An AIX infrastructure engineer is required to support AIX systems and associated products installed across an on-prem IBM Power systems estate.
- The candidate should have deep experience with AIX administration on various versions as well as VIOS and HMC.
- The role will also include supporting physical racking and cabling activities at the datacentre for Power systems when required.
- The role is required to support the running of a live service on-prem solution, as well as being involved with technical refresh and upgrade projects, it is a mix of both support and delivery.
