As an Asset Accounting Consultant, you'll be a reliable point of contact for any financial ad hoc queries. From competitor analysis to helping with year-end, you'll be engaging with different departments and stakeholders providing your expertise on fixed asset matters. You'll also participate and take the financial lead on key projects and present engaging project updates to senior management.

What you'll do

  • Ensuring compliance and implementation of accounting policies
  • Manage and develop fixed asset processes
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Competitor and financial statement analysis
  • Capitalisation of assets
  • Liaising with stakeholders on projects impacting the fixed asset register
  • Support month end/year end closing
  • Review account transactions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Assisting with queries from, and delivery of data to, internal and external auditors
  • Assisting with preparation of financial statements
  • Give status project updates to senior stakeholders

What you'll need

  • ACCA/ACA Qualified is essential
  • Previous accounting experience including working knowledge of FRS102 and Fixed Assets
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in liaising with and presenting to stakeholders
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills - including Microsoft Excel, and accounting packages
  • Self-motivated with exemplary organisational skills, able to multi -task and manage their own work
  • Ability to travel where required within the UK and abroad
  • Knowledge of the German language is beneficial but not essential
