- Maintenance Manager/Yard Supervisor

Our client is a leading manufacturer that specialise in managing, transporting and supplying millions of pallets worldwide.
They currently require a Maintenance Team Leader/Yard Supervisor for their site in Bristol.
Within this role, you will be the customer face for the site, collaborating with a multitude of stakeholders to ensure the site's equipment and facilities are operating in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technician team and contractors as part of the maintenance intervention activities (preventive or corrective).
- Identify, report and resolve health and safety concerns with the equipment and building services.
- Ensure breakdowns of equipment are rectified in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage the repair and overhaul of all powered hand tools.
- Manage and develop the PPM programme, ensuring that the scheduled work is carried out.
- Control spares and consumables stocks with high accuracy, avoiding unnecessary inventory.
- Manage the procurement of spares and equipment needed ensure continued operations.
- Support the Process Reliability Program for site equipment. Ensure areas of losses are identified and reduced or eliminated
- Provide support to the Technical Systems Leader on medium to large Capex projects.
- Lead Engineering Projects of <80K$ from conception through to delivery and install.
- Support the Q & V stage of the CQV phase of new line installation
- Monitor and optimise consumption of all utilities (electricity, gas, compressed air, water).
- Maintain and ensure the working conditions of all employees, contractors and visitors within the plant.
- Ensure electricity at work regulations including wiring testing and PAT testing of equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- City and Guilds, apprenticeship, HND, HNC or similar in an engineering-related discipline.
- NEBOSH Qualification or equivalent
- Relevant Logistics Qualification CPC (Desired)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment with practical skills in electro-mechanical repair and maintenance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve problems in a calm and safe manner.
- General maintenance workshop skills, e.g. welding, grinding, drilling, milling etc.
- Methodical, organised and thorough style of working.
- Minimum 3 years' experience leading within supply chain or similar environment and responsibility for a large team
