You'll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO's partners to help businesses effectively. You'll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
This challenging and rewarding role as Financial Support Hub Senior Team Leader involves:
- Supporting the wider business with Billing, Credit Control, Private Equity and other financial areas of support.
- Working alongside the SSC Finance Hub Lead, to ensure work is both allocated and controlled effectively and ensure quality control is maintained.
- Embedding a continuous improvement culture through effective monitoring and root cause analysis of errors and omissions.
- Uphold high ethical standards and ensuring the team adheres to policies and regulation.
- Handling internal queries and building relationships with colleagues and teams across BDO UK.
- Leading training and development of the teams and colleagues to ensure we are ‘Helping all succeed'.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide and motivate the team towards achieving their objectives.
- Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication within the team and with other stakeholders.
- Make informed and timely decisions that benefit the team and align with organisational goals.
- Identify issues promptly and implement effective solutions to overcome challenges.
- Set clear performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, offering training and growth opportunities.
- Be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances and priorities.
Technical Requirements and Professional Skills.
- Strong people and team management experience.
- Experience of managing multiple teams.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and other MS Office products.
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
- Willingness to get involved in ad hoc activities with a ‘can do' attitude.
- Strong understanding and dedication to client centricity.
- Viewed by others as a trusted advisor and advocate.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to use your initiative and take a flexible approach.
