We are seeking an Audit and Accounts Senior to join our friendly and professional team. This role offers a diverse range of experiences, from statutory accounts preparation to external auditing and corporation tax work. Day to Day of the role:
- Preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts for a diverse client portfolio.
- Conducting external audits and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and submissions.
- Working both independently and as part of a team to meet client needs.
- Engaging with clients across various sectors, providing high-quality service and support.
- Balancing a workload that typically includes 40% accounts preparation, 40% audit, and 20% tax preparation, with variations throughout the year.
- Contributing to administrative tasks as needed within a small firm setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of accountancy experience in a small to medium-sized practice in England.
- Some experience with external audits, FRS 102 1A accounts, and corporation tax preparation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Caseware accounts production, Digita Corporation Tax, Mercia Audit Manuals, and online bookkeeping packages such as Xero, Sage, and Quickbooks is advantageous but not essential.
