Service Care Solutions are working with one of our established clients, seeking a Skills Development Tutor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide Gas Assessment Education to develop and deliver continuously improved training to multiple funding streams.
Job Title: Skills Development Tutor

Contract Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: £35,600 per annum + £150 signup bonus
Job Purpose: The Skills Development Tutor is responsible for developing and delivering continuously improved training to multiple funding streams. This role aims to achieve positive outcomes for customers through the enhancement of their knowledge, skills, behaviours, and attitudes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training sessions in gas assessment and related subjects.
- Participate in open evenings, taster days, and employer engagement activities.
- Plan and design face-to-face and blended digital curriculum.
- Mark and assess students' work, providing structured feedback.
- Set and agree on development objectives with learners and stakeholders.
- Regularly review learner progress and set learning targets.
- Track learner progress and use support funds to ensure success.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
- Manage client caseload to retain and secure new business.
- Support and participate in internal quality assurance activities.
Key Requirements
- At least 5 years of vocational industry experience as a Gas Assessor.
- 1-2 years of experience in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Familiarity with teaching and learning quality standards, including OFSTED.
- Up-to-date knowledge of gas assessment and relevant professional qualifications.
- Working towards or holding a Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent.
