As a Shift Manager within our Premier Park Depot, you'll have a critical role in ensuring that the warehouse operation is running safely and efficiently, and that we are catering to our customers' every need – both now and in the future.

You will be responsible for overseeing a time sensitive operation, leading a team of warehouse operatives on a wide variety of tasks from goods in, stock management and order picking and loading, through to dispatch. You will lead, engage, and motivate your team to ensure maximum productivity targets are achieved and high levels of customer service are delivered.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and delivering a plan, managing headcount and skillset against operational demands
  • Monitor the warehouse operation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Managing all aspects of your teams, including their training and development, absence, recruitment, and performance.
  • Liaising with our transport department to ensure all customer orders are delivered, in full and on time, and resolving any issues in a timely manner

To join us as a Warehouse Shift Manager you will have previous management experience in a high-volume, fast paced warehouse operation. You will be results driven and demonstrate good commercial awareness and strong analytical skills which you'll use to make sound decisions, in a fast-paced environment. A great communicator, you will be people focused and have the skills to get the best out of your teams. Tenacious and resilient, you're a pro-active problem solver, with the drive and determination to overcome challenges and succeed.

Key Skills required:

  • Extensive experience of managing large teams of colleagues, creating a culture of safety, high-engagement and high-performance
  • Knowledge and understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and Food Safety regulations, and leading by example by setting and maintaining these standards
  • IT literate (SAP experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Proven experience working in and managing large warehouse operations.
  • Strong communication skills
